  • The Bible Gateway, a tool for reading Scripture online. It provides advanced searching capabilities, allowing readers to find particular passages in Scripture based on keywords.
  • Our Daily Bread, daily devotional readings.
  • Christianity Today, Web site for Christianity Today magazine that contains links to full articles. You can also sign up to receive their free weekly e-mail newsletter.
  • Guideposts, a monthly magazine featuring first-person, true-life stories that offer practical solutions to everyday problems and inspiration for overcoming personal difficulties. Selected articles as well as subscription information are available on their Web site.

Urgent Care Resources:

  • Crisis Clinic of Seattle/King County, provides crisis intervention, information and referral efficiently, effectively and with compassion to all people of King County.
  • Northwest Harvest, collects and distributes food to approximately 300 hunger programs in Washington State without tax dollars or fees of any kind.
  • Samaritan Center of Puget Sound, an ecumenical Christian counseling center serving the greater Seattle, WA area, offers both short and long term therapy for individuals, couples, and families who desire change or are experiencing confusion, conflict or pain. For more info call 206/527-2266.

Mission and Evangelical Resources:

  • AD2000 & Beyond, a global, informal network of Christian missionary agencies, denominations, churches and individuals committed to world evangelism.
  • Association of Gospel Rescue Missions (AGRM), founded in 1913. AGRM's 290 member rescue missions provide 30 million meals & over 12 million nights of lodging to the needy each year. They are staffed by over 9,000 full-time workers and 300,000 volunteers.
  • Billy Graham Center, a division of Wheaton College (IL), is dedicated to the advancement of world evangelization and works with Christian leaders from around the world to develop strategies and skills for evangelism. With its unique resources and programs, the Center serves the church in evangelism and missions through leadership training, research, networking, strategic planning, and communicating the gospel.
  • Compassion International, which exists as an advocate for children, to release them from their spiritual, economic, social, and physical poverty and enable them to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults.
  • Ethnologue.com, where you can conveniently find many resources to help you with research of the world's languages. Ethnologue.com is owned by SIL International, a service organization that works with people who speak the world’s lesser-known languages.
  • Gospel Communications Network, an alliance of Christian organizations dedicated to spreading the gospel over the World Wide Web.
  • Homes Without Boundaries, which exists to facilitate the building of homes for the homeless by groups of students and adults committed to building their understanding of social economic needs and discovering new life by giving themselves away.
  • InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, whose purpose is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world.
  • Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, which ministers in capital cities and other influential population centers around the world with the goal of letting entire regions hear the voice of God. The association holds citywide and nationwide mass evangelistic festivals aimed at the whole of the population within a designated area.
  • Urbana.org, a place to grapple with global mission and God’s will. Use this site to meet other students, learn more about God and be challenged by the world’s needs.
  • World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization serving the world's poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries.
  • Young Life, a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization reaching out to teens with programs in some 450 communities in the United States and Canada and 36 countries overseas. Over 83,000 kids are involved weekly and more than 490,000 in the course of a year.
